August 27, 2007 Workshop Meeting
TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY WORKSHOP MEETING AUGUST 27, 2007 7:00 PM The Workshop Meeting was called to order by Chairman Harold Manske. Present were Chairman Manske, Supervisors Phyllis Giese and LeRoy Schmitz, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Mel Buechel and various Town residents. Confirmation was made of Open Meeting notice. The Town of Fond du Lac will be hosting the Town’s Association Christmas Party. It was decided to hold the party at the Knights of Columbus Hall on the 6th of December, 2007. Menu, decorations, and door prizes were discussed. The general consensus from Town residents is to have the Town contract for garbage pickup. It was also discussed to determine when the recycling contract is due and to combine both if possible. Also, residents who already have contracts for garbage pickup will need to cancel the individual contract by December 31, 2007. The other concern was picking up old recycling bins and garbage bins. These questions will need to be addressed with the individual haulers. The concerns over the Garden Drive petition for cul-de-sac status and the loss of the Schmitty’s Oar House access onto Winnebago Drive were discussed. It was determined that the Town needs to contact the DOT to get accurate information on what can be done to address these issues. Clerk Supple reported that she received a call from Scott Kegler of the FSA services concerning funding for the Utility District. There is no update for him at this time. A flyer for WI online classes was reviewed. Chairman Manske reported that a developer is interested in 230 acres north of the Kuehls property for development. Engineer Cunzenheim will need to check on sewer capacity for this area. County Clerk Joyce Buechel notified the townships of an increase in fees for SVRS (Statewide Voter Registration Services). There is a need to redo Allen Court due to drainage issues. Cost is approximately $9900.00. No decisions were made on the above mentioned matters. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn.
