June 25, 2007 Workshop Meeting
TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING JUNE 25, 2007 7:00 PM The Special Town Board Meeting was called to order by Chairman Harold Manske. Present were Chairman Manske, Supervisor LeRoy Schmitz, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Mel Buechel and Jody Roffers. Supervisor Phyllis Giese was absent. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. After review, motion was made and seconded to approve the Operator’s License for James Huey of Aldi’s. Motion carried. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn to the Workshop Meeting. Motion carried. WORKSHOP MEETING The Workshop Meeting was called to order. The above named Board members were present. Treasurer Buechel introduced Jody Roffers. He indicated that due to changes in the filing and computer requirements for collecting taxes he would need assistance. Mrs. Roffers is proficient with computers, and has agreed to help with the new tax system. She would fill and stamp envelopes, collect taxes, reconcile taxes and collect dog licenses. The recommended compensation would be $20.00 per hour, and she would be bonded for 3 months during tax season. The contract would also include a 30 day termination clause. The sign and pool ordinances distributed by Clerk Supple were reviewed. It was recommended to have the Planning Commission review the drafts and make recommendations to the Town Board. Road projects for 2007 were discussed. County estimates were Esterbrook Road from Brown to County T $107, 261.00, Esterbrook Road from Hwy. 151 to Brown $50,873.75 and Martin Road $120,597.00. Estimates for Bechaud Beach and Garden Drive were not ready. Supervisor Schmitz recommended doing all four corners of Brown Road and Esterbrook Road when Esterbrook Road is redone.
