April 28, 2008 Workshop Meeting
TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY WORKSHOP MEETING APRIL 28, 2008 7:00 PM The Workshop Meeting was called to order by Chairman Harold Manske. Present were Chairman Manske, Supervisors Phyllis Giese and LeRoy Schmitz, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Jody Roffers, Christian Tscheschlok and Brenda Hicks-Sorenson. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. Ms. Hicks-Sorenson presented a brief update on the projects completed and started with the Fond du Lac County Economic Development. One project that directly affects the Town is the establishment of an Industrial Park adjacent to the FDL County Airport. Chris Tscheschlok gave an update on the water tower project. He noted that the revision to the Kaempfer contract allowing them to hire subconsultants has been completed, the Village has been authorized to proceed with design and construction of the Brown Road elevated storage tank, and a water service agreement between the Town and Village has been signed. Next on the schedule are the bids for pipeline work, cost savings for the financing of the project, and pre-design study submitted to the WDNR. Different options for the connection requirements were discussed. Among the ideas were all new connections pay the assessment, a fire protection charge, existing homes not required to hookup until system failure, all new homes must hook up. The property access agreement for the tank has been obtained. The topographic survey is complete, and the soil exploration is scheduled. Information on special assessments must be finalized soon and a public hearing scheduled. Interim projecting funding will need to be discussed with Dave Wagner.
