April 10, 2008 Workshop Meeting
TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY WORKSHOP MEETING APRIL 10, 2008 Immediately following the 6:30 SD#3 meeting The Workshop Meeting was called to order by Chairman Harold Manske. Present were Chairman Manske, Supervisors Phyllis Giese and LeRoy Schmitz, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Jody Roffers, John Eilert, and representatives from the Fondy Sports Complex. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. The Development Agreement with the Fondy Sports Complex was reviewed. It was noted that the agreement has been changed to an ATV/motorcycle/snowmobile track from the go-kart track previously proposed. Members of the board were confused that the discussions about the go-karts had been put aside and that the proposal from 2 years ago is again on the table. The owners of the complex maintain that as long as they don’t violate the noise ordinance they should be allowed to run whatever vehicles they want. The added that they are willing to put up berms and plantings to alleviate the noise to neighboring properties. Board members expressed concern about noise, policing the noise, dust control and hours of operation. Without the updated agreement from Attorney St. Peters office, it was determined to adjourn the meeting. The matter will be on the April Monthly agenda for review.
