January 28, 2008 Workshop Meeting
TOWN OF FOND DU LAC FOND DU LAC COUNTY WORKSHOP MEETING JANUARY 28, 2008 7:00 PM The Workshop Meeting was called to order by Chairman Harold Manske. Present were Chairman Manske, Supervisors Phyllis Giese and LeRoy Schmitz, Clerk Patti Supple, Treasurer Mel Buechel, Assistant Treasurer Jody Roffers, Mike Hagens, and Adam Nackers. Confirmation was made of open meeting notice. Mike Hagens noted that he is interested in developing the property next to the Community Church as commercial and the property west of Cobblestone Drive as residential. He added that he likes to put in curb and gutter in residential areas with storm sewers running to the retention ponds. He is having the area surveyed, and would like to come back to the Town with some ideas for the area. The Fondy Sports Complex development agreement was reviewed. After discussion the following additions were recommended: 1. limit additions to the present area and scope of operation. 2. spot inspections for number of vehicles and noise 3. definitive answer for location of track 4. add sound check before allowing privately owned vehicles on the track 5. buildings must meet commercial standards. 6. answer as to what type of bridge will be required over ditch to access the back property The wages of the building, electrical and plumbing inspector were reviewed. It was decided to check with other municipalities to see what they require and payment schedule. The inspectors will be asked to attend a future meeting to review the information compiled. Members are needed for the Planning Commission. Candidates will be sought to fill two vacancies. Topics for a February/March newsletter were discussed. Asking for volunteers for the park committee, candidates for planning and board of appeals, as well as poll workers. Reminder of garbage and recycling deadlines for larger bins.
